This card is so that you may know

My plans, and do my bidding;

I’m going to marry, but little care I

To have you at the wedding.

=====

When you get it you will remit,

Whatever way is pleasant,

The largest gift your purse will lift,

For me a wedding-present.

=====

‘Tis no amend how much you send,

I still as friend will doubt you,

And should you give me all you have,

I’ll care no more about you.
