Matt. 28, 20

This is both a promise and a purpose.  They need him and he will aid them.

“I am with you:”

1.  At all times; he never forsakes his children, is here today and forever.

2.  In every thing.

(1)  In church work to guide and aid.

(2)  In business; he would be our greater partner in business.

(3)  In social life–he must be recognized there–let alone what he does not approve.

(4)  In times of danger to shield us.  “It is I; be not afraid.”  “Why were ye fearful, O ye of little faith?”–Pace, be still.

(5)  In trials and afflictions.

3.  If in all these things we will let him be our guide he will be with us to assist us as our need shall be.

Let us follow him.  As we meet the conditions, his own truthfulness is our assurance that he will fulfill the promise.
