Spring and My Muse   Leave a comment

Trees are blooming,

the days are warming,

and birds are singing.

—–

Spring has arrived,

is announcing its presence

to grateful people who have sighed

due to inconsistent weather.

—–

And now, with a mood

as light as a feather,

my muse, rather amused,

whispers in my thoughts

as I walk outdoors

and plants seeds which ought

to sprout into poems about spores,

exposed tree roots,

oddly-angled tree trunks,

steep hills,

woodland trails,

and lovely rocks on the ground.
