Written very shortly after a Saturday afternoon walk through woods and Ben Burton Park (near the Middle Oconee River), in Athens-Clarke County, Georgia, with my beloved

River water tumbled and rolled over rocks,

sometimes as if small waterfalls,

on a Spring afternoon,

while groups of turtles sunned themselves

on small rocks, to pause

from their routine

as water gurgled around them.
