Deuteronomy 6, 13

Jno. 12, 26

1 Chron. 19, 5

I.

We owe all we are to God, Creator, Preserver, Redeemer.  All our hope for time and eternity is in him.

II.

We should reverence and fear him and devote ourselves to his service.

(1)  He has a place for us in his kingdom.  There is so much to be done and the laborers are few.  Be Christian when you are.

(2)  Would you waste your life in idleness?  What promise is there in such a life?  Why not rather invest it for the right, aiding in every good thing possible?  This is a rich life.

III.

His program is so good and great!  To save men from sin, to give life abundant, to establish righteousness and pace, to heal the hurt of sin.  Is this not enough to enlist our interest?  “Ye serve the Lord Christ.”  “Ye did it unto me.”

IV.

Who is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the Lord?  Consecrate–to fill the hand in undying service.

“He went about doing good.”  Shall we not do the same?  Let all be done in his name.
